Fitting and Installing Sliding Wardrobe Doors
How to Measure up for Sliding Wardrobe Doors
2.Measure the depth of the opening, making sure you allow 620mm for your total wardrobe depth (where the interior features will sit). It is also worth thinking about what type of interior system you want to go with. Whether you pick a tower unit, a storage kit or both, you will need to mention this to a showroom consultant as they could affect which wardrobe doors to opt for.
3.Next, measure the height in three locations across the space where your wardrobes will sit (each end and the middle). Making sure to take the smallest measurement so the wardrobe fits the whole space.
4.Measure the width at the top and the bottom of the opening.
5.The final step is perhaps the most important: double-check your measurements!
How to install Sliding Wardrobe Doors
Before you fit your sliding doors, read through these instructions and consider your health and safety, especially when using hand tools.
You will need:
1.Firstly, screw the top track to the ceiling, using equal spacing, before positioning the bottom track on the floor, without fixing it
2.Next, insert the door into the back channel of both the top and bottom tracks
3.Position the door on both sides of the track and level it up. Once this is done, mark the floor before removing the door
4.For all track types you will need to measure in 100mm from the wall, and then repeat this, spacing out each evenly across the length of the track (5x500mm)
5.Measure in 37mm from your line and mark another line for the placement of your track fixing disks. Fix these in place by screwing them to the floor using suitable fixings
6.Having marked where the drill holes will be, drill through the track, fixing them to the floor
7.The next step requires you to fit the back doors in, removing the yellow transportation lock to engage the anti-jump system
8.Adjust the bottom wheels using a 4mm Allen key, altering the height and angle of each door by adjusting the bolt closest to the door
9.You will need to repeat steps 7-8 for each door
10.Lastly, stand back and marvel at the sliding wardrobe doors you have just installed!
