How To Fit Wall Liners
-
Mark the depth of your wardrobe on each side of the opening.
-
Now measure the height of your opening on each side of the wardrobe.
-
Mark the length at each side of each liner and draw a line across the width of the liner. Now cut the liners across the marked line using a wood saw.
-
Position the liners up against your walls where the wardrobe is going to be.
-
If required, mark & cut the skirting boards where the liners will be positioned.
-
Mark and drill holes at 4 (minimum) equally spaced holes in the liner.
-
Using a spirit level, ensure the liners are vertical. If required, pack out the liner between the wall and liner.
-
Now mark and drill the holes for your desired fixings in the wall.
-
Fix the wall liners in position, then if required use decorators caulk to fill the gaps between the liner and walls to give a premium finish.
How To Fit Floor Liners
-
To fit the floor liner(s), measure the width of the opening at floor level inside the two wall liners.
-
Mark the length at each side of the liner and draw a line across the width of the liner. Now cut the liner as previously.
-
Mark and drill pilot holes, then use equal spacing and do the same along the rest of the length.
-
Using suitable fixings, secure the liner/s to the floor. If you need guidance on what kind of fixing is necessary for the surface you’re working with, take a look at our guide to fixings.
