To ensure your made to measure wardrobe doors fit your space perfectly, please follow this guide to measuring.

Step 1

Use a sprit level to ascertain how level the ceiling is and how level the floor is. If the floor is running out, the doors may roll downhill!

In this case you will need to consider levelling the floor up before you take your measurements. Our optional bottom liner will allow you to level up 15mm using packers. Floor to ceiling, if carpet is down compress as much as possible, you can lay the bottom track and liner onto carpet but be aware you may catch a thread, take great care.

If the your height is over 2490mm you can use a Spaceslide height reducer, or we recommend building a drop down bulkhead, with timber. Our sliding wardrobe systems are bottom rolling so no load bearing is on the ceiling.

Step 2

Ceiling to floor

The top track system will accommodate up to 15mm variance in heights.
Measure in at least 3 places centre and both sides always give us the smallest dimension.

Step 3

Width

Width

Check the walls with a sprit level. If they curve or bow, you can use our optional liners with some form of packing to level them up. Optional liners are automatically included in your order, you have the option to remove them before finally placing the order.

If you have coving and skirting you will need to remove a section them to slide in panel before installing.

Step 4

Wall To Wall

Measure in 2 places top and bottom measure wall to wall above any skirting board a section of which you may have to remove when installing. Same applies to coving.

Both top and Bottom track are supplied cut over length to allow you to trim them to exact requirements.

Step 5

Wall To End Panel

In the case of wall to end panel give us the dimension from the wall to the outside position for the proposed end panel.

NOTE: The end panels are 600mm deep and if an end panel is used there is no requirement for a liner.

Important - Remember you are measuring aperture sizes, not door sizes.

Largest dimensions ONLY IN WIDTH, smallest dimensions in height.You do not have to allow for the thickness of Spaceslide liners or end panels, our software will automatically reduce the aperture size by the correct amount.Normal overlap on the doors is 35 - 40mm.

However if you are installing your own liners, or installing batons to level up the aperture you must measure the aperture within your installed sections.
